It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear Artie, truly the best dog around. He has been with us since 2009 and many of you would’ve had the pleasure of meeting him. Artie wasn’t just a pet or office dog; he was a true part of the Artisan team, bringing joy, comfort, and countless smiles to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, walking him or getting the side-eye.
From the very beginning, Artie had a special way of brightening up our office. His playful energy, happy tail wags, and loving eyes were a constant source of happiness. As Artisan grew and changed, Artie was our steady companion, always there to remind us to take a break and enjoy the simple things in life—like a good belly rub, a walk in the sunshine or I guess for him, a bin dive.
Artie saw it all: the growth of our team, the move to new offices, and the ups and downs of the world of recruitment. Through it all, he remained the one constant, a comforting presence that grounded us. He was there for the celebrations and the challenges, always offering a reassuring head butt, sneaky behind the chair sit or a playful, or should we say shockingly loud bark.
Michael Broderick, our Managing Director, had a particularly special bond with Artie. For anyone that had the pleasure to witness their friendship could immediately see their connection that was a beautiful reminder of love and loyalty. Michael’s care and affection for Artie was evident every day, and Artie’s devotion in return was unconditional (as long as there were treats and food bowl rotations). They were inseparable, sharing countless moments that we’ll always remember. Thank you Michael and Tara for making sure Artie’s life was the best it could be, our hearts of with you today.
As we say goodbye to Artie, we do so with a mix of sadness and gratitude. We’ll miss his friendly barks, his eager eyes and ears that saw and heard everything, especially when it was time for a treat. We’ll miss the warmth he brought to our office and the cold he would make us endure for Melbourne winter walks. The sound of him walking over, his excited greetings, and his comforting presence are memories we’ll all hold close to our hearts, he became all of our dog.
Artie, you were more than just our office dog; you were a beloved friend and a constant source of joy. Your memory will always be a part of Artisan, and you’ll forever be in our hearts.
